Isa Squicciarini is a partner in Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey's litigation group, which was named a “highly recommended” Connecticut litigation team in Benchmark Litigation’s Guide To Leading Business Litigation Firms and Attorneys. For over 15 years, she has practiced in the areas of medical malpractice defense, medical products liability defense and personal injury/wrongful death defense.  Isa represents clients in state and federal courts in various matters. In addition, she also represents physicians and hospitals in Department of Public Health investigations.

  • Part of a team that obtained defense verdict in favor of a vascular surgeon in a medical malpractice case involving claims of wrongful death

  • Successfully defended a psychiatrist in a DPH investigation, resulting in closure of case and determination of insufficient basis to further investigate matter

  • Member of trial team that successfully defended an orthopedic surgeon in a medical malpractice case involving claims of significant injury during hip surgery

  • Successfully defended ophthalmologist in case involving claims of failure to diagnose a stroke

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a hand surgeon in a medical malpractice case

  • Obtained favorable settlements on behalf of clients through alternative dispute resolution

  • Honored for establishing a new pro bono legal resource in Waterbury to represent low-income people facing domestic violence, Connecticut Legal Services, 2015

  • Waterbury Bar Association Young Lawyers Award, 2013 and 2014

  • Honored for outstanding pro bono representation of a Connecticut child who had been trafficked - Lawyers for Children America (October 2013)
