On December 4, Governor Lamont announced that the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is awarding approximately $20 million in funding to support the remediation and redevelopment of 21 blighted properties in 18 municipalities across Connecticut as part of the Brownfield Municipal Grant Program.

The DECD’s Office of Brownfield Remediation and Development (OBRD) is expecting to announce another round of funding in January 2025, and will be inviting applications for:
- Remediation/Limited-Assessment Grants
- Assessment-Only Grants
- Remediation/Limited-Assessment Loans
- Brownfield Area-wide Revitalization (BAR) Planning Grants
