Rick Street is Managing Partner of Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey and is an active trial lawyer in the firm’s Litigation practice. In addition to responsibility for day-to-day management of the firm, his practice focuses on value-driven solutions for client disputes. Rick has substantial experience working for electric and gas transmission and distribution companies, hydroelectric companies, and large and small businesses in land use, catastrophic personal injury, fire and explosion, condemnations and construction litigation disputes. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts and has arbitrated numerous matters before arbitration panels. Through strong communication and understanding of his client’s business, Rick is able to minimize business and financial risks for his diverse clientele.

Prosecuted dozens of condemnation actions in state court on behalf of an electric utility to allow for the expansion of its infrastructure within Connecticut.

Represented owner on numerous construction claims in arbitration related to gas main construction.
Argued an appeal on behalf of a hydroelectric company that protected its project’s lands from claims of adverse possession.

Led the successful eviction of a commercial marina from a hydro-power project.
