The president of the Connecticut Bar Association has appointed Carmody Litigation partner Gary S. Klein Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Committee on the Federal Judiciary. The committee reviews and rates individuals that the President of the United States nominates to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
A partner in Carmody’s Stamford office, Gary has extensive trial experience in complex financial, commercial, employment and environmental litigation. Gary also has extensive experience representing fund managers, hedge funds, private equity funds, and placement agents in all types of complex disputes. Gary has tried many cases to verdict in federal and state courts involving all kinds of complex business disputes and environmental claims, including cases involving real estate and business valuation, lender liability, business torts, fund managers, placement agents, and covenants not to compete. Gary also has significant experience in complicated ADR proceedings including multi-party and international business arbitrations in the commercial, financial, and securities fields and is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators.
